Former Queensland premier Campbell Newman discusses Australia’s “staggering” population increase “putting pressure” on the housing system.
New data reveals Australia’s population has dramatically increased to 27 million people amid a housing crisis.
“It’s a staggering number,” Mr Newman told Sky News host James Macpherson.
“They are unprecedent levels of new arrivals and it is without doubt putting pressure on cost of living, and on particularly rents and the cost of buying a house.”
