‘Most people’ think Labor’s budget will cause rate rises, according to poll

Freshwater Strategy Director Leo Shanahan says the “key question” over the coming months is if the federal budget will increase the chance of the RBA raising interest rates.

Freshwater Strategy conducted a poll to determine what Australians think the outcome of Labor’s budget will be for the economy.

Mr Shanahan told Sky News host Sharri Markson that “most people” think the budget will cause the Reserve Bank of Australia to raise rates.

“Or at least the majority of respondents.”
