Australia’s defence spending outlook stagnating for ‘at least a decade’
Sky News host James Macpherson says Australian defence spending is in a “holding pattern” setting it stagnant for “at least a decade”.
“Australia’s defence spending is in a quote, holding pattern, and will not improve the nation’s military capabilities for at least a decade,” he said.
“That is according to a new report by The Australian Strategic Policy Institute, which has warned if war were to break out at any time in the next ten years our military would be forced to fight with the force it has today.”
