Energy Minister Angus Taylor says Australia has continued to invest in gas “through the pandemic” which has led to lower prices compared to those in Europe and Asia. “We’re in a situation now where our price in Australia is an … 80 per cent discount to the international price in Asia and Europe,” he told Sky News host Chris Kenny. “This is a remarkable position to be in, however, we will lose that position very quickly if we don’t continue to invest in the supply of gas.”
