Victorian Small Businesses are in ‘Survival Mode’

Victoria needs to “open up again” to ensure small businesses can survive into the new year, according to Victorian Liberal Party Deputy Leader David Southwick.

“Ultimately we have to open up again,” Mr Southwick told Sky News Australia.

“We had a report in the paper only today that said 50 per cent of small businesses in the CBD thought they only had three months to effectively live.

“They’re on a knife’s edge, they’re absolutely in survival mode at the moment, these small businesses, and to think the government has spent millions of dollars over the past two years trying to prop them up only to walk away now at a crucial time.”
