Damage Assessments Underway in Queensland after ‘Unprecedented’ Flooding

Authorities are assessing the damage across parts of Queensland after the state suffered an “unprecedented” amount of flooding. Teams are in Maryborough today which received around 600 millimetres of rain in less than 24 hours. Work is underway to restore power to around 380 customers while Queensland Rail will be reopening later tonight. Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk described the flooding in the region as “unprecedented’.
