Qld Premier and police commissioner slammed for two flights costing almost $170m
Queensland Premier Steven Miles and Police Commissioner Steve Gollschewski have been slammed over taking two jets which almost cost $170 million in taxpayer money to make announcements in the state’s regional towns.
“There are flights everyday to Townsville, Cairns, and Hervey Bay,” says Courier-Mail Columnist and Sky News contributor Des Houghton.
“The police minister and the Premier Steven Miles chose to take two government jets at great cost … believed to be worth about $170,000 of taxpayer’s money – these jets landed and took off within five or six minutes of each other,” he told Sky News Australia.
“People are saying ‘why did you need two jets?’”
